Welcome to Rocky Mountain Flannel Company
We are a Canadian Company
Snuggled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies!
My company may be new to you but it is actually over 30 years old. I started this company in my basement in 1989 in Alberta, Canada. My mandate was to make beautifully designed flannel apparel for Women and Men. I design with style, function, and fit with attention to detail on all designs. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
What We Do Best
We are a company that can take an idea, visualize it, develop it and put it in the market place at a competitive price. We are a design company as well as a manufacturing company. As a designer, classic styling is the foundation to all. We never stray far from the basic elements of that concept. The customer comes first and we always listen to our customers! Cotton flannel is an amazing fabric and for 25 years the word that always comes up to describe our garments is: quality, quality, quality!
Our Story
Gayle Houlton, the founder of Rocky Mountain Flannel has an extensive background in pattern making, design and retail. When the company she had previously worked for closed its doors Gayle decided to start designing her own product line. Inspired by the cold Canadian winters and influenced by 10 years prior in the wedding gown business, Gayle set out to design the most beautiful flannel nightgowns. 25 years later Gayle has added flannel pyjamas, nightgowns, pants and shirts to her product line. Every product is researched and tested for quality, fit, wear and tear. In exchange for good honest feedback Gayle often gives new product to friends and family. “Believe me, they are honest!” Gayle says “I am the foundation of every style and I need to know everything about it”. Gayle continues to market the Rocky Mountain Flannel label to selected specialty retailers, resort retailers and fine lingerie stores. Retail chains often seek out Rocky Mountain Flannel to do their private labels programs. In June of 2015 Gayle opened the doors of her own Rocky Mountain Flannel retail store in Canmore, Alberta, the heart of the Canadian Rockies. She has since relocated Rocky Mountain Flannel to Banff, Alberta, and you can find it at 225 Bear St.
